In traditional stores you have the opportunity to actually try on the product and get a feel for how it fits. The problem is even more complicated for tool belts, due to the fact that people often wear a pant size that is not necessarily their waist size. However, by following a few suggestions you will be able to correctly order the right size and not have to worry about getting it exchanged for a better fitting size The first step is to determine your actual waist size. This doesn't mean to look at the tag on your pants and use that as your waist size. You need to actually get some string, wrap it around your waist, and then measure the length of the string. When doing this place the string around your waist where you wear a tool belt. Then tighten the string so that it is not loose around your waist. The measured length is what you should use when ordering your tool belt.
